Skyscraper
When the pandemic caused mass exodus from NYC in 2020, we looked up and wrote a love song dedicated to those that had to leave the city.
We are so thrilled to share with you "Skyscraper" an analog recorded synth art rock tilt inspired by St. Vincent and late 70’s records of Blondie, Talking Heads, & The Clash.
Aaron convened a band at The Bunker Studio in Brooklyn, where we cut the single to the Studer 24 track tape machine with Aaron on guitar, longtime collaborator John Davis on bass, and Dan Rieser on drums. Nolan Thies produced the live session. Nevezie and Davis mixed the track by hand on the SSL console to 1/2” tape, making this a purely analog recording.
Last, we are honored to have had the single artwork shot by quintessential New Yorker, Earl Douglas (radio producer, writer and photographer).
Now you know what to do….
